I headed east with Josh and his crew. We set up and after a slow start and some searching we managed to go 15/21; boxing 13 and sending 2 fish back for another day. Big fish of the day ranged in the 8.5# class.

I headed NW with Matt, Kevin and Keith. We stopped short to set up on what looked like a great screen only to find that the fish had lock jaw. We managed to end the day grinding out 5/9 on walleye.
I headed west with Tom, Rich and Burt. We set lines and found an immediate bite boxing 5 before getting all the lines in the water. What was a great bite slowly ground to a halt. We managed a slow pick going 15/19 on Walleye. We boated 4 fish in the 8# class and toping the day off with a 9.5#er.
I headed to Saturday’s spot with Nick and Penne only to find yesterday’s fish gone. We did some searching and managed a slow pick to go 12/14 boxing their 12 fish limit.
I headed NW with Greg and Cory. We set line to find a ferocious bite that kept things busy. We managed to go 15/18 on Walleye boxing their 12 fish limit, sending 3 back for another day.
I fished the day with Keith, Sheila, Cody and Tyler. We left the dock and headed northwest on a flat lake and one of the few days of nice weather this year. We set up on a descent screen and had instant action. The bite slowed down but we managed to finish the day going 14/18 for Walleye adding a bonus Steelhead to the box. It was a photo finish for big fish of the day but Sheila’s 9#er edged out Keith’s 8.5# for the title.
We left the dock and headed west with Rhonda and her family. We started inside only to find a relentless supply of junk fish and a traffic jam of holiday weekend boat traffic. We decided to pick up and run outside to look for cleaner water and less junk. We set up on a good screen only to find a slow pick. We managed to go 8 for 11 on walleye before the Northeast winds picked up.
I left the dock with David and Bruce under rainy skies and steady West / NW winds. We managed to go 15 for 18 on Walleye boxing their 12 fish 2 man limit and sending the other 3 back for another day despite the steady 3 – 5’ waves from the west.
Once again we headed west for a day of fishing with Dave and Ashley. We decided once again to start inside and found a better Walleye bite and less junk fish. We finished the day boxing their 2 man limit of 12 Walleye and sending 2 more back for another day. The biggest fish of the day weighed in at 10#s with another in the 8# class and two other 6#ers.
I fished the day with Eric, Margaret and Lauren. With tough fishing conditions being the norm due to unsettled weather patterns and unseasonably cold waters temperatures we headed west. We started inside finding a slow bite and tons of junk fish. We headed outside in an attempt to get out of the junk and managed a slow pick to go 5 for 9 on Walleye.
